Questions

The things clients ask before they switch

How long does clearance actually take?

We target three days for sea port clearance and two days at the airport, and we consistently achieve it. The reason is simple: our own Mombasa branch lodges documents at the port rather than waiting for them to travel, so entries are ready before the cargo is.

Can you handle cargo destined for South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi or the DRC?

Yes. Transit cargo is a core part of what we do. We have border posts at Malaba, Busia, Elegu, Mutukula and Mpondwe and offices in Kigali and Juba, so transit entries, bonds and border formalities are handled by our own people rather than by a subcontractor.

What does a quote include?

An all-in landed figure: freight, clearance, statutory duties and taxes, handling, and inland delivery. We would rather have the difficult conversation about duty before you ship than surprise you with it after.

Do you move part loads, or only full containers?

Both. We consolidate LCL cargo into 20ft and 40ft containers, clear FCL or LCL at a Mombasa CFS, palletise and deliver. For road we handle LTL as readily as FTL.

Is my cargo insured while you have it?

We arrange marine and goods-in-transit cover through our insurance partners. Tell us the cargo value when you request a quote and we will include the cover in the figure.

Can you handle dangerous goods?

Yes. Our warehousing and air freight staff are DGR-trained, and dangerous goods are documented, packed, stored and handled to IATA standards.

How do I track my shipment?

Every consignment is issued a tracking number when we open the job file. Enter it on the Track page for the current status, location and expected delivery date, plus the full movement history. Our trucks are GPS-tracked, so the updates come from the vehicle rather than from a guess.

Are your trucks axle-load compliant?

Fully. Every load is planned against EAC axle load regulations. It matters to you because an overloaded truck impounded at a weighbridge is your cargo sitting still, not ours.

Not sure which service you need?

Send us the shipment details and we will tell you the best mode, the realistic transit time and the landed cost.
